An earth planar colossus - Cave Golem
Cave Golem usually dig half its body under the earth disguise it self as mountain and cave. It's inner body is grown with precious minerals and gems, they have no other purpose but to lure greedy victims as the Cave Golem disguise itself as a crystal cave. Once the victims get close there's no escape from this giant terror.

cool. my earth colossus concept looks similar. (yes, also with purple crystals,big arms and smaller legs, and a big jaw )
I ended up painting something totally different...
I wish you good luck for the contest!

Awesome backstory/info but even COOLER execution. That lighting is cool - I love the crystal cave idea though I'd be killed. Not because I'm greedy per-se I just love shiny things o.0

This is one of my favorite entries in the contest so far.
